Pita Land is legit. Great sandwiches- chicken shawarma is a favorite- good balance. Baba ganoush is excellent, but ask for more pita. Everything on the menu is good and authentic.

After a walk at the nearby forest preserve, my sister & I were starving.  We decided on this spot which we ate at before.  It is in a L shaped strip mall, ample parking.  It's fast food so don't expect the glitz and glamour of a regular Middle Eastern spot.  From what I remember they were good and today proved it.  It took a bit to get food but it was worth the wait.  I assumed the meat was already prepared but u can tell they take their time to ensure each meal was hot and tasty.  The 2 guys behind the counter were young & friendly.  No music, no tv.  Bomber!!  I like a little noise in the background instead of hearing everyone's conversations or food smacking.  Also I know I'm 47 and my sister is 57, but that menu was hard to read.  Hey guys not everyone has 20/20 vision.  Geez.  Lol.  The decor is a tad boring.  A mural would be recommended in the dining area or otherwise the decor is similar to a typical neighborhood greasy spoon joint.  Nothing in the decor made me think of Middle Eastern.

How can you not put shawarma sauce on your beef shawarma sandwich? This is the third time.   Is it because I'm white geez get it together!!! Would also like you to cook the fries all the way I shouldn't taste the frozen from being undercooked.  Can find a good shawarma anywhere nowadays.  I will not be returning ‍

They lied. This is not the land of the pita. It's been tough finding a decent Mediterranean place down south. I was set on this place as it looked pretty decent from the reviews and when passing by.

Combo plate. That included chicken, beef shawirma, lamb and some other type of weird meat. Chicken was good. All the other meat was just okay. The shawirma was SUPER fatty. Not good. They served everything on some type of white rice, not yellow as usual. It was just okay, not very flavorful.

The only decent thing about my meal was the falafel balls; ordered at additional cost for almost dry and almost burnt balls(hurtfully crunchy). Says a lot.
